Shawl Manufacturer and Exporter, Mumbai
Manoj Expo International produces shawls and large wraps at its own facility, within a scarf and accessory capacity of 250,000 pieces a month. We work in wool, viscose, modal, linen and blended yarns across tie-dye, ombre, solid dyed and yarn dyed finishes, supplying fashion brands, importers and wholesalers in North America, Europe, Australia and Japan. Manufacturing since 1975, exporting since 1981.
What we produce
Tie-dye and ombre shawls. Hand-applied gradients and resist patterns across the piece.
Solid dyed shawls. Full colour card in viscose, modal, wool and linen blends.
Yarn dyed shawls. Woven checks, stripes and textures in cotton, wool and blended yarns.
Embellished shawls. Sequin, bead and embroidery work applied in-house.
Winter weights. Heavier wool and wool-blend pieces, brushed or plain.
All counts and constructions, in cotton, rayon, modal, hemp, bamboo, linen, wool and blends. See our full fabric, print and embroidery capabilities.
We also manufacture scarves, stoles, pareos, coverups, neck wraps and sashes as separate categories, and womenswear dresses as well as tops for private labels.
How we work
Send us a tech pack, artwork or a reference sample and we will come back with pricing and a sampling timeline the same working day. Samples are developed in-house, usually within two to four weeks, or immediately where the fabric is already in stock.
Our QA team works on the production floor throughout, inspecting against your parameters rather than ours alone.

Common Questions
-
From 500 pieces per style and colourway, and lower on repeat programmes. Print and dye setup sits per colourway on accessories, which is what sets the floor. We quote against fabric availability and take both large-scale and small-batch runs.
-
Shawls and large wraps from 27" × 80" upwards, with larger sizes made to your specification. Below that size we would call it a stole — if you are unsure which you need, send the finished measurements and we will pattern to them rather than to a category name
-
Yes. We work in wool and wool blends for winter ranges, up to 500 GSM for the heaviest pieces. For transitional and summer weights we move into viscose, modal, linen and blends, down to around 80 GSM. Weight is usually the decision that drives everything else on a shawl programme, so it is worth settling first.
-
Hand-knotted fringe, twisted fringe, tasselled corners, frayed and self-fringed edges, rolled hems and plain finished edges. Fringe length and knot density are both to your specification. This is hand work and it affects both cost and lead time, so tell us the finish at tech pack stage rather than after sampling.
-
Yes, and it is one of the things we are known for. Ombre shading is hand-applied and graduated across the piece, and tie-dye is done by hand resist. Both are hand processes, so expect some variation piece to piece — that is inherent to the technique. If you need a tighter tolerance, tell us at sampling and we will agree an acceptable range with you.
-
Yes. Send a Pantone reference, a physical swatch or a previous production sample and we will submit lab dips for approval before bulk.
-
Samples in two to four weeks, or immediately where the fabric is in stock. Bulk runs 45 to 90 days from approved sample. Hand-fringed and hand-dyed pieces sit at the longer end of both ranges.
-
FOB as standard, other Incoterms on request. Payment is DP at sight or part advance against order.
