Manoj Expo International has manufactured in Mumbai since 1975 and exported since 1981. We produce oblong stoles from 10" × 60" to 27" × 80", in solid dyed, yarn dyed and printed finishes. Our oblong stoles run from lightweight summer viscose through to wool and blended winter weights, in solid dyed, yarn dyed and printed finishes, with fringed, frayed and rolled-hem options. Scarf and accessory capacity is 250,000 pieces a month, for buyers across North America, Europe, Australia and Japan.

We also manufacture scarves, shawls, sarongs, coverups, neck wraps and sashes as separate categories, and womenswear dresses as well as tops for private labels.
How we work
Send us a tech pack, artwork or a reference sample and we will come back with pricing and a sampling timeline the same working day. Samples are developed in-house, usually within two to four weeks, or immediately where the fabric is already in stock.
Our QA team works on the production floor throughout, inspecting against your parameters rather than ours alone.

Common Questions
-
From 500 pieces per style and colourway, and lower on repeat programmes. Print and dye setup sits per colourway on accessories, which is what sets the floor. We quote against fabric availability and take both large-scale and small-batch runs.
-
From 10" × 60" for a narrow dress stole up to 27" × 80" for a wide wrap stole, and any size between. Special shapes and sizes are made to your tech pack. If you need a piece wider than 27" we would produce it as a shawl — the construction and weight range differ.
-
Proportion, mainly. A stole is a long narrow oblong worn over the shoulder, typically 10" to 27" wide and lighter in weight. A shawl is a larger wrap, 27" and upwards, usually heavier and cut for coverage. If you are unsure which suits your range, send the finished measurements and the end use and we will advise.
-
Yes. We weave checks, stripes and herringbone from pre-dyed yarn, which gives depth of colour that piece dyeing cannot match and holds up better through washing. We also produce dobby and jacquard constructions where the pattern is built into the weave rather than printed on it.
-
Yes. Metallic and lurex yarns can be woven through the ground fabric or used as a stripe or border. Sequin work is applied after weaving, either as an all-over or along a stripe, and is done by hand. Both add to lead time, so raise them at tech pack stage.
-
From around 40 GSM for sheer evening stoles up to 300 GSM for heavier winter pieces, in viscose, modal, cotton, linen, wool and blends. For anything above 300 GSM we would usually recommend a shawl construction instead.
-
Rolled hem, plain finished edge, self-selvedge, frayed edge, twisted fringe and tasselled corners. On narrow stoles the selvedge is visible in wear, so it is worth specifying how you want it finished rather than leaving it to default.
