Private Label Womenswear Manufacturing

We manufacture womenswear under your label, to your specification, for brands, retailers and importers in the USA, UK and Europe. 50,000 woven garments a month across 100 machines at our own 22,000 sq ft facility in Vasai. As an apparel manufacturer and garment export house, we take a buyer's tech pack and deliver finished, labelled and packed goods ready to ship from Mumbai. We are clothing manufacturers in India, not a trading house or a buying agent.

Our minimum is 300 pieces per style and colourway on garments, and 500 on scarves and accessories. Both are lower on repeat programmes. We quote against fabric availability, and we take both large-scale programmes and smaller first runs.

To discuss a programme or price a style, write to manoj@manojexpo.com. We reply the same working day.

Compliance

Our factory is audited to the standards that major US and European retail vendor programmes require. We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, SMETA 4-pillar audited to September 2027, GRS registered for recycled content and Higg Index registered, and the factory has been assessed under customer CTPAT security requirements.

Our factory is audited for social compliance by Intertek and Elevate. Bureau Veritas and SGS carry out product testing, and PTS carries out product inspection. Buyers are welcome to audit us themselves, and many do. Audit references, certificate numbers and our full quality process are set out on our factory page.

All production runs in our own facility at Vasai East. We do not subcontract garment manufacturing, so the factory that is audited is the factory that makes your order.

For organic, recycled and certified natural fibres, see our sustainable manufacturing terms.

We have no brand of our own

Everything we produce is made for someone else's label. We do not sell a competing brand, we do not sell to your customers, and we do not show your styles to other buyers. That has been the arrangement for fifty years.

What to include in your tech pack

The more complete your pack, the faster and more accurate the first sample. Useful to include:

  • Measurements with tolerances, and the points they are taken at

  • Construction notes: seam types, hem finishes, closures, lining, topstitching

  • Fabric specification: composition, weight in GSM, weave or knit, or a physical swatch

  • Trims: buttons, zips, threads, elastic, drawcords, and any nominated supplier

  • Colour references: Pantone numbers or a physical standard for each colourway

  • Size chart and grading rules, or your base size if you want us to grade

  • Label and packaging artwork: care, size, brand, swing tags, polybag and carton marking

  • Quantities per style and colourway

If you do not have all of this, send what you have. Most first enquiries arrive as a photograph and a question, and we can work from a reference garment alone.

Design and development support

This is custom clothing manufacturing rather than catalogue production. Every style is made to your specification, not adapted from a house range. We are not only an execution factory. Our design team follows seasonal trends so that samples come back in line with what the market is actually buying, and we present seasonal sample ranges to buyers rather than waiting to be briefed.

If a style is over your target price, we will propose fabric, trim or construction alternatives that hold the look and meet the number, rather than returning a quote you have to negotiate backwards from. We can develop from a sketch, a mood board or a reference garment as readily as from a finished tech pack.

How a programme runs

Send a tech pack, artwork or a reference sample. We come back the same working day with feasibility and an indicative price, then develop a fit sample in-house, usually within two to four weeks, or immediately where the fabric is already in stock. On approval, bulk runs 45 to 90 days depending on fabric and quantity.

We quote FOB as standard and can work to other Incoterms. Payment is DP at sight or part advance against order.

Labelling and finishing

Care labels, size labels, brand labels, woven tags, swing tags and packaging are applied in-house to your artwork. Barcode and price-ticket requirements are handled at the packing stage. Tell us your retailer's packaging specification at the tech pack stage and we will pack to it rather than repacking later.

Inspection before shipment

We operate a documented AQL 2.5 system for final inspection, with in-line inspection built into the production process rather than bolted on at the end. Our QA team works on the floor throughout, and every lot is inspected again before packing.

Orders are inspected by third-party agencies on our buyers' behalf. We work regularly with Intertek, SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV SÜD and PTS. Where a retailer runs its own inspection programme, we host their team for both in-line inspection and final random inspection, and we work to their protocol rather than ours.

Shipping, documentation and logistics

We ship FOB, CIF or CFR according to your terms. Where you are taking multiple styles, we consolidate them into a single shipment to reduce your handling costs and simplify receipt.

We prepare full export documentation, including the commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, shipping documents and any certification paperwork your customs entry requires.

For buyers running their own vendor systems, our logistics team places freight bookings directly in your operating platform and uploads shipping documents to your vendor portal and to your customs broker's site at each stage, before goods move to the CHA warehouse, seaport or airport. We complete the procedures your nominated CHA or forwarder requires rather than handing you a set of documents and leaving you to it.

Repeat and seasonal programmes

Most of our business is repeat. We hold approved patterns, graded size sets and fabric references between seasons, so a returning buyer's second order samples faster than the first. For seasonal programmes we plan fabric against your delivery dates rather than quoting from stock each time.

At 50,000 garments a month, a programme that grows does not need to change supplier.
